Well my housings are painted electric blue. (The typical Duplicolor electric blue). Anyway I really want to get somemore color in my engine bay. I currently have the altenator and water housing/pump off at the moment and would like to paint them.

I want to stay with the blue theme in the engine but also want to throw another color in the mix. I like the idea of a bold purple color ... or a metallic purple color, kind of similar to that of my air filter.

The only problem with painting is that it's sort of an all or nothing event. If you just paint the alternator and intercooler, it looks stupid. At least in my opinion. In the least you should paint the intakes and all visible components. Painting the engine require a lot more effort and for the most part the block is hidden.

You painted the plastic fan

 

I'm not actually using the plastic fan.. I just painted it for kicks. I'm going e-fan.

 

Just clean the hell out of everything. Only color a few things, less is more and it's all in the details.
