Need some advice....newbie

I am new to the rotary world, but have always been intrigued by them ever since the mid 70s when I learned a little about them in college. I've always wanted a rotary project and now I have the opportunity.

Last year I traded my Triumph Spitfire to my son for his Buell Cylcone. He has been asking me if we could drop another engine and tranny in it to give it a bit more power and improve the shifting ease. This last weekend I happened on to a posting on Craig's list for an '86 RX7 13b fuel injected NA and tranny for $200. It came complete with all the accessories and ECU. I bought it. It the engine has 174,000 miles on it. The owner said that there is apparently an oil seal leak (oil in the exhaust vapor) and he had a hard time keeping the engine running because it was running very lean.

Anyway, I figured this would be a nice conversion project for the Spitfire. I won't use the A/C compressor or power steering pump. I think I would like to remove the emissions air pump as well just to keep the engine as simple as possible.

Ok, now for the advice.

1. Where is the best place to buy an ovehaul kit? What should I expect to pay?
2. I would like to convert the engine to carburation. Where is the best place to buy parts for the carb conversion?
3. How much hp should a carburated stock 13b produce? The motor that is in the Spitfire produces a scant 60 hp. Since the car only weight a little over 1,800 lbs including engine and tranny I figure the 13b ought to make this car fly.

Thanks in advance for your comments.

1) atkins rotary has rebuild kits and such. As does rotary resurection.
If you do it yourself it can cost from $800 - just over $1000 depending on what
you want done.

2) I'm not sure where to get parts but I know it's been done

3) Well the stock 13B FI motor was 140hp. So You'll at least have that!

I don't know much about the carb setup stuff but you'll be happy with a rotary. Be nice to it and it'll be nice right back.
