need some advice, i think my engine blew
Okay so after a week of the car sitting on jacks i finally finished gutting my car, and putting all of my adjustables and comp bushings in.
i eye my car so that it looks striaght, and then i head over to a friend of mines house to use his toe plates and camber tool.
right when i start the car i notice that EVERYTHING is abotu 300% louder. this is normal because i did just remove all of my sound deadening. when i make slow right hand turns i get this clunking sound (more like hte sound that a tire makes when you just blew off all of the tread and it is slapping), but this is a separte issue that i will resolve at a later time. right now back to the engine woes.
so i get everything well adjusted and make the 4 mile drive home. on the dive home the engine just stopped working. i wasnt pushing the car at all, i was just cruising around 40mph in 4th gear. i was goign up a hill when all of a sudden the engine just stopped working. no smoke came out of the back, no smoke under the hood, nothing. the temp was right where it was suppsed to be. the boost didnt spike or do anyhting crazy. i tried bump starting it, but it didnt work. it sputtered a bit but nothign after that.
my friend toed me home with his suby.
today i go to check all of the fuses, they were good. i check the ecu to see if it was fried, it was clean. i even swapped in a different ecu to see if that would help, but it didnt. i checked all of the wires that i use to start my car, and they are all clean, no openings, nothing. fuel pump is working, i can hear it whirring. i have oil, half way. i have an ample amount of coolant.
i pull out the plugs, and they kinda smell like gas. i hand tighten the trailing plugs and disconnect the spark plug wires. i then turn the engine over trying to see if the spark plugs would get wet, and when i pulled them out there was no fluid on them. i pulled out the line that goes into the fuel lines to see if there was fuel there, and fuel squirted out. so i am pretty sure i have fuel, even though it isnt showing up on the plugs. on top of that i highly doubt that every single one of my injectors got clogged.
so i am stumped, if you guys have any idea what to do next post a reply. if i can find a compression tester i am going to rent it and see if i somehow lost compression, but i dont know how that is frikken possible.
