Need replacement Denso A/C compressor for TII

the A/C compressor in my 1990 TII is shot - not surprising since it's 25 years old. The problem is for some reason, rebuilt NipponDenso compressors appear unavailable for 2nd gen's. Presumably the Sanden compressor ports are not compatible with the existing Denso fittings, so what's my best option?

I'm considering buying a 1st gen Denso compressor to see if I can rebuild my existing unit with the guts of the 1985 reman compressor. Anyone know if this will work?

Not a clue, but if you figure out out please let us know. My 89 Tii needs a new ac compressor as well.

I would also like to know where new compressors can be bought or existing ones can be refurbished/rebuilt

I appreciate the offer RXR, but the odds of contamination or corrosion from a used compressor are too risky for something as sensitive as the A/C system. I'm still doing homework and will update the post when I get new info about compressor options.

Rotary Performance sell new Sanden compressors (Rotary Performance | FC Specials). I believe that all you need to do is swap the heads for the different compressors. You might want to call RP to discuss this.
