Need Rec. and Help with clutch
Need Rec. and Help with clutch
Guys,
I put in a NEW MAZDA clutch, pressure plate, flywheel, bearings and seals,
hydraulics and mounts about 6 months ago. After only 2 months or so it
started to slip in 3 gear and above at WOT. It was spotlessly clean when
installed. I pulled it last night and I don't see anything wrong.
BUT....it only shows slight coloring on the flywheel on the out 1/2 of the
contact surface. The car has full exhaust and runs about 9 lbs. of boost.
So....I don't know if something was defective or if it's just being
overpowered. Anyway...what do you rec. as an upgrade? I did find a slight
residue around the inside of the bellhousing...it was sort of greasy but i'm
not sure if it was grease or just clutch dust. If it was grease....I have
no idea where it came from. The seals on the tranny and engine were
replaced and they show no signs of leaking. Any ideas or suggestions would
be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Todd
