need radiator help

hey guys i have a 86 base. and my low coolant light came on when i was at the track so. i babyed it home cause my bleeding screw was half broke off in it. so i go to change the radiator out with another one i had and comes to find out. u know where the vertical bars giong down threw the radiator is. well one of those has some kinda leak at the bottom of the radiator. and it will drain all of my water out of it. what i want to know is is there a way i can fix this so i dont have to dump 100 bucks on another one. like will any stop leak work? thanks

Stop Leak is a bad idea. It might stop the radiator from leaking but it can also clog some of the smaller coolant passages in the intake and engine. An aftermarket radiator is less than $200 and is much cheaper than an engine. Keep your cooling system in good shape so you don't have to worry about it.

Ya I would agree with him. If you have to get a new radiator its a good idea to upgrade. No reason to spend money for the same thing, then you get more for your money. Also, don't use the stop leak stuff, I found that out the hard way.

www.absoluteradiator.com has koyo and fluidyne all-aluminum radiators, I've heard they also have stock radiators with metal tanks but they're not listed on their site, you might want to e-mail them.
