someone who had the rx7 before me put in a wrong windshield on my 87 rx7 .cuz it leak's. when it rains only a lil water comes throught the passger side. cuz the windshield in the car now fits a convert rx7. and i was wondering where's the best place i could get a windshield. my bro told me the jukeyard should have a rx7 there. but taking the windshield out is the problem it mite crack in the middle what's a good tool to buy for a windshield??? ok thanks for all ya help Josh FastzFocus@aol.com

 

Some "Driveway" glass companies do it fairly resonable. Give one a call to check prices. Maybe $175/200. Windshields are trouble to do without the proper tools. Also check local yards as some do installations using the windshield they remove.

you will save 50-100. however, you stand a chance of dropping it, cracking it on instlation etc. PLUS the best windshield you will find will be 17+ years old. Thats a lot of stone dings and stress.

the smart move is going new with an installer.

If you choose to do it your self just buy a tool kit from eastwood.com. Make sure you have to helpers when you go to remove the junk yard one - wear golves and eye protection.

 

I got a new windshield with the stained top and antenna for $165 installed at diamond auto glass. Most places were charging close to $200. They did a good job.
