Need a New Key

I just aquired a 87 turbo rx7 and the place i bought it from didnt have the spare key but the original key was broken inside the ign switch. I tried calling up mazda for a replacement key but they said its too old of a car for them to get one. What other choices can i do to get a key made?

On a 16+ year old car the locks are usually about worn out.
So it's often best to get new cylinders & keys all around.
Most locksmiths can do it.
