Need more help pulling engine...
Hi.... I'm almost ready to pull the damn thing, but i cant get the oil cooler pipe off for the life of me..... the front one is off no problem, but the bolt towards the rear of the car won't budge - - it's as if it's welded on there. Anyone have this problem? I've tried wrenches.... i don't have the right size socket..... looks like a 23mm..... and ofcourse i only have a 22mm & 24mm-12.
Help! please...
Thanks,
Matt

is this bolt connected to the engine housing? Start by taking the entire assembly off along with the engine. Then try and remove the oil cooler line.
I don't know if you can do this, but in the case of my 12A, the oil cooler line was on so tight that I actually twisted and broke the line trying to remove the bolt. Better to take the whole thing out of the car if possible.

my two cents... MAKE SURE YOU USE RIGHT SIZE... METRIC!
haha I didn't have the right size either, so I used an american size that fit ok.. and I sure stripped it pretty decently... Just get the right size, use a breaker bar on it to get some torque, and make sure you don't break those lines... Yea....... Anyone know where you can get that special bolt on that back oil cooler line? it's a hollowed out bolt... probably costs 50 bucks haha

If its 23mm "you think" then you arent using the right wrench. Go buy a 23mm (or whatever size it is) combination wrench with a box end and do the job right. That bolt is really on there and it takes a bit of force even with the proper wrench. The best money you can spend is on the proper tools. It makes life so much easier, and you only have to buy them once (assuming you buy lifetime ones and don't lose them).
