Hi-

I need to find a Mazda dealer in RI as close to Smithfiled as possible. I have my car here at college, and I think my transmission decided to drop. The only gear that works is third. I drove the car two days ago for two hours strait, of highway driving and there was absolutely no signs of a problem. Now though, ever gear except third is scratching and grinding. It sounds deadly to me. Someone help PLEASE!

I normally stay away from the dealership. You just need to find a good machanic. Also you may try and drain the transmission a put a good synthetic in there like redline MT90.

 

If it needs changed, I'd try to find a local Tranny Specialist and NOT a dealer. After you find out what the problem is and get that fixed, either put Redline in youself or take some to the shop (you can get it from www.summitracing.com) and have them put it in
