Need to know if S5 connector for a Fuel Pump will work with a FD fuel pump

THat is basically the question. I have a S5 fuel sending unit a walbro was put in and now I bought a FD and the connection wont work. What I think is that the connector to the walbro is different to the FD.

Your s5 sender bracket will not fit the FD...the FD bracket is bigger in diameter where it mounts to the tank. The plug is also different, as I recall. Just move your walbro over onto the FD's bracket...the wiring from the walbro to the bracket is pretty similar, if not the same, as I recall. It should be about a 15 minute swap.

I don't understand what your question is...

Isn't the fuel pump just connected by a pair of wires with ring terminals on them?
There is no "connector" that you just unplug...

Some of the Walbro fuel pumps do have a single plug that goes into the top of the fuel pump, but this is unique to the Walbro and not the stock fuel pump.

I agree about just moving the Walbro fuel pump over?
