From what I remember, there is a bit of room, but not much. I think that the tubes for the air vents are right under there. If you can do without those, then there is a bunch of room!

The air ducts for the heater vents are directly below, so there isn't much room. If you want to eliminate those air ducts, there's lots of room (about a DIN sized opening).

my 2 options are to have a tv slide up from that space...

1 option being that i can mount it to slide up vrticle. meaning i need about 6.5 inches of room!! that way when the tvs off it will slide baqck down under that cover piece...if theres room!!

2 option is to have the tv lay horizontal and just...flip up..taking less room..maybe like 3 inches

either way the tv will be underneath that cover and will be completely hidden from eyes unless its being watched. anyone know what kinda room is under there for this application...before i go tearing up an absolutely perfect dash??

for anyone else interested in this kinda setup i will eventually writeup an easy fabrication that allows you to have a factory look but a tv monitor that pops up out of what im hoping is some wasted space!!

if i must go to a junkyard and tear up a good dash..i will but i figure someones out there stripping their interior for racing!!

thx for input!!

when finished this will be beautiful and completely hidden..and inexpensive!!

Remove your center vents, then take a look. Very easy to find out how much space there is.
