Need ideas where this vert top leak is coming from (pics)

Its coming from under the trim piece (as you can see) and ye si busted that trim about a week ago. I have a rip on the inside of the top and i stuck my hand thru it and felt that drainage bad and it was wet on the outside of it. I looked in the pocket and there was still standing water in it, I read on a thread that those pockets need to be facing up? Not sure what he meant by that. I did clean the pocket out about a week ago and made sure the drainage hose was intact and in place and poured a cup of water down it and it seemed to drain just fine
Any suggestion on what to check out would be GREATLY appreiated

Vert Top Leaking

Hey,

Check the pocket to see if there are any tears on it that you are not noticing. If there is a tear then the water will channel through the interior and into the rear of the seat in the same spot that you took pictures of.

I had this same problem with mine and the carpet would always be wet in the rear of my seats until I diagnosed it, since I fixed it, it never leaked there again.

Also I would recommend to strip your interior in the area that you are having the leak, pull the carpet up and take out all the trim. There should be a water mark where the water is traveling from and to, this can also be used to trace where the leak is coming from.

Good luck with the leak.

Regards,

Looks like the rear targa section to roof seal is worn or damaged to me.

Mine did this too. It was a tear in the catch pocket.. Well it was more the fact that the previous owner forgot to put the drain tubes back under the body.. then I found the two small rips in the bags.. A little vinyl repair and you'll be all set.
