You know what? I don't even remember. I've been tearing out my engine for a while now and i forgot where i pulled it from 0_0

It's a vacuum solenoid of some kind.

 

wait a minute. i remember where it went by.

i have an s5 t2 and that came from the right side of the engine bay by those three colored boxes...the ones with hoses coming out of them.

i dont know its function tho

 

^Thats what i thought it was. I also dont know what there funtion is, so for the gurus what does it do?

 

maybe part of the wastegate control?

 

well its some sort of sensor for sure. as for what it does. its beyond me. if it's vestigial might as well cap it off.
