did swap drove from one friends house about 15miles to other friends house one friend drove behind me said inside of exahust was red hot clucth is just about dead so it was smoking from that got to friends house open hood headers are glowing red iknow i need to fix timing its off car back fires like crazy im thinkin its fuel injectors prob car doesnt really go any where when gas pedal is pressed stalls when driveing any other opinions helpful s5 90 rx7 compression is solid all around

Check to make sure your exhaust is not clogged up. Why did you swap a motor in that had a bad clutch? The clutch shouldn't smoke unless its on a top fuel funny car or dragster.

 

I burnt the clutch out of a 88 merc tracer and got the clutch disc smoking... not really sure how, but it was kinda fun

 

sorry bout that. we didnt know the clutch was bad it was already on the motor when we swapped, it found out it weas dead when we test drove it.
