Need Help With Wideband Setup
Hey Everyone,
I currently have an S5 TII with a street port running on the stock N370. I just purchased a Haltech ProSport 1000 with the Haltech wideband O2 sensor and need help figuring out some things for the wideband setup.
I was told the other day that the gauge that I have (This One) would not be able to communicate with my wideband O2 sensor without the wideband O2 controller. Is this true? Is this the same case with the Haltech ECU? If it is, I would just plan on getting the Haltech Controller and Sensor kit from Mazdatrix (HAL-HT010704). If I end up getting this, will the sensor then be able to communicate with the current Prosport AFR gauge that I already have or will I also need a wideband gauge? I noticed that Prosport also has wideband gauge kits but they would cost me an additional $200. Id rather not buy another gauge if I don't have to so any help or suggestions anyone might have with this would be helpful.
Thanks in advance,
Jason

The gauge you have is a NARROWBAND gauge. It's extremely unlikely that it can accept a wideband signal. You must buy a wideband sensor and some sort of controller with an analog output(Most if not ALL wideband controllers have this capability. Just read the information that each manufacturer provides.)
