Need Help With a Second Gen!!!!!!!!

I am in the middle of trying to pick which project car I would like to start. A nissan 240 with a RB-20 or 25 swap. Or a 2nd gen RX-7. This is where I am stuck. I can find plenty of sites on where to buy motors for the 240 and have a lot of questions answered. But with the 7 the information is hard to find. First I want a turbo 7 so. I believe from what i read it is a pain to do a t2 swap to a n/a 7. If so I have to buy a t2 in good condition or a t2 in need or a motor. Where can I find motors to buy for a ts or any 7?

Then search, its a thread made quite often.

Also a 240sx would be cheaper to build .

But then you would exactly like all the other drifter wannabe's. I personally say go with the 7, but I'm already addicted. They are similar to british cars, they can take some love and care sometimes (more so on a british car) but you have this great sense of accomplishment when you work on it. Plus you have this unspoken bond to other rx-7 owners, like a secret club no one else knows about.

If you like working on cars, go with the seven. Information is easy to find, it's all fight here on this forum. And like said before, there's a commeraderi between seven owners, much like motorcyclists and jag owners. I personally havn't found my seven to be any more of a pain to work on than any other car I've owned, there's just more that needs to be done.

theres not more to be done, its just that there is more to be understood......an RX-7 in good condition is in my opinion is way more reliable than a crappy piston engine, and this is coming from a guy who owned a 89 turbo supra, 91 mr2, 88 mr2, 1g and 2g eclipse.......my past two RX-7s and the two i have now never give me any major probs.......if you are your own mechanic go with a TII hands down, they're light, powerful, and can handle boost up the a hole, and this way you already have a turbo and dont have to spend money on a pain in the butt engine swap.
