Well, get a can of Starter fluid, spray into the intake. If the car catches then its more than likely flooded. If the car cranks and smells like GAS ITS FLOODED. EGI fuse out, pedal to the floor and crank away. Crank no more than 10 seconds at a time remember to put the fuse back in after you pull it out to try to start it. Should take about 2-3 times to get unflooded if its lightly flooded. But if it is Heavily flooded then take out the leading spark plug and crank the car with out the egi fuse, First take the 1st leading and crank then after that, put it back in and then take the second one out, after that put the second one back in and put the fuse back in then try to start the car.

there is no reason to put the pedal to the floor. using the egi methoed should yield results after the first try.

Ummmmmmmmm How are you sure that the compression is OK????

I had a problem similar to this one. I ended up finding out that my leading coils were good, but my grounds were so shitty that the leads were giving a very weak spark.

Pull your plugs out with them still wired to your coils, sit them next to your fender wall and sell if the spark is orange or yellowish. If so, your spark is weak. It should a nice bright blue.

make sure the fuel is not old. very important. since you say the compression is fine we will forget about that. use a timing light to check for spark. this makes it very easy to check without removing plugs or wires.
