Need Help with Removal of LIM

First of car is 89 Vert

i'm trying to remove the lower intake manifold to do the porting on it, however i can't seem to figure out how to get the two center bolts out that hold it on. i got the 4 corner bolts out, but have no clue how to get the middle lower ones out... i can't seem to find anyway to a socket on them or an extension.

second the diaphrams actuating the 5/6th ports seem to be frzen, i can't get them to move at all. any ideas on how to fix that?

I dont have a NA, so my turbo is probably different. But I got my manifolds off with I believe 12 and 14mm sockets, your normal extentions and a 3/8in rachet.

On my series four, I take my aux actuators off to get at the nuts on the intake. Its only two ten mm size nuts on each. And you need to unfreeze them anyway.

You need about a 6 inch extension. You can slide the socket and extension right through the little gap left between the actuators and the acv mounting surface. There is enough room. It might take some time but eventually you will get the socket on the bolt.

What really helps is a small mirror that you can look to see exactly where the bolts are at. This will give you something to go on. I have one of those workshop mirror that is on a telescoping arm so you can see in tough to reach places. I got it at the local auto parts store for like $5. It paid itself off about ten minutes after I got home.

I have a few little mirriors that dentists use (somewhere ). They come in handy when looking in ports on the motor etc.

all right got the last of the bolts off, got one or two hoses int he back and then dread oil squirters, which for some reason on mine are held on with 19mm nuts, not the 17mm, left to go till its free and i am out of light. so tomarrow i go again at it. soo much for 8 hours total on this project. gawd i hope i can get all back together corectly.

thanks for the help.
