Need help! My RX-7 Won't start!
All right here's the info: I just picked up an 87 RX-7 GXL for $200.00 http://www.cardomain.com/member_page...7_262_full.jpg
They guy said it won't start. He replaced the fuel pump, fuel injector, fuel filter, fuel regulator, the computer, plugs and wires. I did find out that the fuel injectors were not getting power. Why is this? Do you have any other suggestions on why it won't start? It does crank and sounds like it's going to start, but doesn't.
Any help is appreciated.

make sure the ecu is grounded well first.
If its a new ecu, the injectors should be getting power, but check at the ecu output. Use a factory service manual to figure out which wires to probe. (you can get an fsm from a few websites including www.iluvmyrx7.com )
Then use a multimeter to check continuity from the output to the injectors. Im assuming none of the injectors are working, so i would bet on the ground, or a bad ecu. Just double check all connections. IIRC there isn't a resistor pack on the s4's, so i guess you could rule out that connection for the Injectors.

Do you mean that the injectors dont have 12v when the key is on, or they dont have a pulsing ground signal when the engine is turning over? If the problem is that they dont have 12v with the key on, check your fuses. There is a 15 amp engine fuse in the fusebox, and there are also fuses under the hood that may be bad. Also, check to make sure your AFM is working correctly. It can cause many "not starting" issues. Refer to the FSM for info on checking your AFM.
Oh yeah, the injectors that your talking about are probably the secondary injectors (the easy ones to get to) and they will not be getting the pulsing signal when the engine is turning over. They dont get a signal until around 3800RPM. BUT, they should show 12v on one of the wires on each injector with the key on.

All the fuses are good. That was the first thing that I checked. Yes it was the secondary injectors that I was checking. I will check the other stuff tomorrow because it is 2:00 a.m. and I just got done painting another car about 30 minutes ago and frankly I just want a beer watch some tv and go to bed.
Thanks guys
