Need help with my new rx please.

Alright, so... Here's the deal. I've always been a fan of the rotary engine concept... But, I've never really gotten my, "hands dirty," by actually working on the engine... I wouldn't buy any other car than an rx. It's my first car. It ran when I test drove it and that's all I cared about. When we drove it home after buying it though. I wouldn't go over sixtyfive mph. And, the next day it wouldn't start. After actually popping the hood and looking under, the thing has no air pump for its emissions I guess. And all sorts of things are really jimmy rigged. Zip ties ect. The chocke was zip tied open and all sorts of other things like that.

As far as tests done on the car. My dad and I, did a compression test on both of the rotors. They were all at around 100 psi, and the pressure of each side was within about five pounds of the other. The fuel pressure after the filter was at around 38 psi and it held pressure for a full min. before we stopped measuring. We then went and took off the air filter and poured fuel directly into the throttle body the car would start right up. Then, I could get it to rev up to 2 on the tach and then it would die. I'm new to rotary engines and I don't know what's wrong with the car. Any ideas would be a lot of help. Thanks.
