need help with my new 88 rx7

need help with my new 88 rx7

i'am new to this post so let me start by saying "hello" lol"
ok i bought my first rx-7, its a 1988 mazda rx7. i bought t from a freind of a freind and i bought it knowing it haddent started in over a year. but i don't care i love rx-7 they are my favorit cars. so i get it home on a tow truck and i try to start it. it turns over but it wont start and sometimes the belt system just holts and you can see and hear the starter steal cracking and you hear a sound. what should i do??

i have the none turbo 13b engine also
i bought and installed new spark plugs "ngk"
and i am using starter fluid

pleas help i wana my fc savana runing

You mean the battery is dieing or is the starter sparking?

i think the battery dieing, i say cus the battery i'am using is kinda week

dont use starting fluid bad for the motor and #2 check compression change oil replace fuel filter change gas in gas tank if its been sitting theres lots of things to do
