I swaped non turbo motor in 87 Turbo II RX-7. The motor i swaped had about 85,000 miles on it, I keept the distributor off the turbo rx7, and now the motor wont start. I dont really think that distributor should mater.
I checked the fuel and ignition and those two are ok but still it wont start. The car carnks but wont turnover.
Is there any why that the problem can be that the ignition and fuel is not adjusted properly ad it doesnt crank at the same time. Does anyone have any ideas how to adjust that, if something else might be the problem. If anyone else had the same issue, can u tell me what might be wrong with it, and how you solved the problem.

When was the last time the motor ran? If it sat for awhile then the seals may be dry. If the motor has sat for awhile then I would do the trans fluid trick.

 

the motor sat about 10 days since it ran last.
When we had the motor is other car, it woldnt start on ignition but did start on tow pull. One of the mechanics figured out hat it was the ECU. now we have new ecu and still doesnt start.

I've heard that if you can only tow start the vehicle it can be a bad motor. when it starts how does it run?

 

The motor ran really good, and it pulled verry good too. Do you by any chance know how to adjust ignition and firing. i think the ignition doesnt fire at the right time when you crank. heheheh it is prety wierd problem.
