Need help with leading ignition.
I need a little help here. I recently swaped an '88 13B 6 port into my 82. I have got all the wiring working, but I don't have any spark on the leading plugs. Its not the wiring to the coil thats messed up, and I'm pretty sure the ecu is fine since the engine ran in the car I took it out of. I checked the ignition coil and its fine, same with the plugs. The only things left are the plug wires and the ignitor and ballast resistor (that ceramic resistor inside the coil assembly). The plug wires measured 8000 ohms. Compared to the trailing wires which are about 4300 ohms. They are about half as short as the leading wires.
As for the ballast resistor, it reads as infinate. It has 0.35K ohms stamped on it, so I would assume thats what the resistance should be. Instead, its as if the "circuit is open" inside the resistor. What do you guys think?? I'm new to the 2nd gen stuff.

GOD, THIS SECTION OF THE FORUM IS ******* USELESS. I ASK A SIMPLE QUESTION AND AFTER A DAY AND BEING PUSHED BACK 2 PAGES, STILL ONLY ONE PERSON ANSWERED MY QUESTION!!!!! WTF IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE?????
Sorry for the rant, but seriously, I would have a lot more replies in the much slower moving 1st gen section by now. Especially with a question as simple as this. I'll think twice before posting here again.
