need help fast momo steering wheel
i just got a momo wheel for my car and had the tech at mazda to install it... and when i drive now at random it will beep in periods and sometimes it does not stop till i turn off the car... they thought it could be the electronic thing that controls the turning signal sensor and they fixed that... now it does not do it has much.. i am thinking that the wheel since it has no spacer it to close to the top of the steering coloum and hitting something.. i am really lost and any help would be great!!!
plz and thanks

Take off the wheel and make sure that the wire is not grounding out any where. Thats the first thing to check. I had the same prolbem but my prolbem was in the control unit at your feet in the drivers side panel. I resodered mine and now it works great.

If its beeping in groups of 5, he disconnected or damaged the turn cancel switch, which the cruise and power steering use to determin wheel angle.

i dont think it is a prob with the computer because i never had the problem with the older wheel... i think it might be because the back of the hub is to close to the top of the steering colum.. but thats my guess... the first time i got the wheel installed the turn signal thing was off so the dealership reinstalled it and the signals work perfect now just the f'en annoying beeps.. any ideas.... thanks for the responses

Again is it beeping in groups of five???
If it is, then it is the turn cancel or your power steering has failed for some other coincidental reason.
The turn cancel is in the steering column.

lol,
there is a circular piece of plastic on the rear of the steering wheel that has to turn with the wheel. if he didnt connect the piece to the back of the wheel then the car may be going straight but the computer thinks it is turning. the reason it goes off when you turn is because the sensor is passing through "straight"
take the wheel off and see. i had a thread archived when i went through this, it is titled '"Duh, whuts that do?"- Mazda Rotary technician'. or just search under my name

it really isn't that hard. turn the plastic piece untill the aerrow match up, make sure the wheels are straight when you put the steering wheel back on. this happened to mine when i put on an after market wheel too.
