actually if he paints the car white and leave the engine bay as is. you can hardly notice the difference. it actually looks a bit... cool.. with a black engine bay *put on flame suit*.

edit: do you like blue? how about House Of Kolour Kandy Blue?

Hot rod style. Very common on many restorations I do, in fact in some cases (mostly mopar guys) they prefer it. Since on many colours, the engine bay was flat black from the factory.

I say black exterior though...black 7's for the win!

also...FWIW...

Any woman I've dated in the past associate white sports cars with grease-*****. That might be what you're going for, but black is more classy in the female's skewed perspective.

Yea, i have had experience with black painted cars... It is a pain in the *** to maintain and take care of... I would say to go with a dark blue... What color is your interior? But like 13bturbofc said, would you do all that to change the color?

Think about it... the world is getting hotter each year!!!!!! lol... not that it matters... but i did see this thread that one guy stated his car was as hot as up to 150 degrees.... so i ought to be careful... lol~

ok ok ok... i think black to should cool. I dont like changing the cars original paint... but anywho Good luck!

Black looks good when it's clean but shows dirt very easily. My Sileighty was black and it showed dirt and water spots too much. My Maxima was white and always looked clean. White would look good with black door jambs/ bay. It's pretty easy to spray paint the jambs and bay though as long as you use flat paint. If my interior on the RX-7 wasn't half blue I would have painted it white and done the 10AE look.

Both suck. Come on man, show some creativity!

What about metallic lime green with gold flecks? Don't knock it until you've tried it.

Metallic sky blue.

Metallic midnight blue.

"Barney" purple with multiple layers of blue tinted clear coats.

Dark maroon with white pearl.

Base big metal flake silver with gold clear coat.

Copper, with silver accents.

Burnt sunset orange with subtle metallic flakes.

Hot pink with purple stripes!

Satin dark blue (drool....)

^ +1 for the blues. quite a lot of people are going with blue for FD's but its a different story for FC's. House Of Kolour Kandy Blue really caught my eye. seems a lot sexier than IBM (which everybody has). purple flakes btw.
