I have a 86 gxl and its been sitting in the garage for about 6 months and now that i got time to work on it doesnt want turn over. The car sounds like it wants to turn on but it just doesnt make it. What can be the problem???? spark plugs are fine and battery as well

is it turning at all?
might your starter be jammed?.. try and hit it while a buddy tries to start it... it just might free it.
has happened to me before... but not on my rx-7's

 

Id put money down that the battery isnt fine.

 

Charge or replace the battery and it will turn over.
