Need help with axles moving around in the diff

Hey guys, I'm new here and am looking for some help. I swapped a first gen RX-7 LSD into my miata (one piece axle, no stubs) and am having a problem with the axles moving around left/right/up/down. They seem to be snug in the diff, so they don't come out, but they do wobble and are causing a horrible oil leak. Would anyone know what this could be caused by? As far as I understand, the differentials should be fully interchangeable.

Thanks for any and all help.

I forgot to ask another question. Does anyone know what the spline diameter is for the second generation RX-7s that came with a clutch type LSD? I'm thinking that if my splines are smaller, they will have space to move around in the side gear.
