My gear selector was very loose and the hold button kept going on and off as, i think, a result of it. I tightened the nut for the linkage after taking the gear selector and everything off. I tightened it and it got tighter, but it also made the selector screwed up. There is no park now, in its place is reverse and so on. I did notice some wires are exposed that come down from the selector which i assume are for the hold button. I think i may have to adjust the linkage on the transmission now, but i dont know the best route and would appreciate tips if this would be the best thing to do. Thanks for any help.
