Need Help With a '90 RX7 GXL
The car does not run-it's not the computer(like my boyfriend thought)-Is there anyone that can give us some other idea's on where to look. It does have engine compression, it has spark but no noid. He's getting mad at the car, enought to just give up & sell it-but I know we won't get much for it in the condition it's in right now. Thanks in advance

Thats not a lot of info.
If it has compression and you actually had it professionally compression tested then thats good. out of curiosity how many miles are on the car. make sure theres oil in it.. and plenty for that matter. Pull out the spark plugs and check to make sure there isnt oil all over them... wipe them off, hook them back up and pull the fuse in the engine bay that says EGI.... turn the car over for 10 secs put the fuse back and then try to start it up again. it should def.. start then. also make sure you have your spark plugs hooked up correctly.

T2 upper right
make sure those are ran correctly,
the Number Ex T1 is located on the coil packs themselves..
Is your check engine light on too..
If its not them it should be a simple fix.
also... If you try the first thing i told you and it only works for a little while
and your car doesnt run again .. then therefore i would have to say theres a bad oil seal in the rotor.
and that requires a rebuild to get to ..
THe car will run if thats a problem.. but not for very long because it will foul out your spark plugs .. which = no spark
good luck

I think she is talking about a Noid Light. You plug them into injector harness to see if they are getting signal from the computer to fire. I would check the EGI fuse and just make sure all the connections are there and accounted for. Good Luck. Let us know the status so maybe someone can help out more.

Sorry, I know I was very vague, but I don't know all that he's check-I believe he bypassed the ecu & was able to start it for a second(I have to double check on that-I know he bypassed something & got it to run for a second).
Thanks for all the replies so far, I'll double check with what he's done so far & get back with you.
