Hi everyone, i just bought an rx7 1986 and at first it was running fine but after 2 days now when i start it its fine but after a minute when i gas it the rpm doesnt want to go more then 2000. i have no idea what is going on and i took it to the mechanics, but i also liked help from you guys cause you know more then me and i dont want to get cheated by the mechanics. almost everything on the car is fine just the miles are really high (206k)!can u guys help me please. thankss

 

Test the compression on both rotors. If it refuses to idle, and struggles to get moving, you've probably lost compression on 2 rotor faces (apex seal).

After that, contact the seller of the car and get him to a) pay for the rebuild or b) buy back the car.

 

You need to do a compression test bud.
