Exclamation Need Help!!

I was moving the alternator higher to put more tension on the belts. I was using a pry bar to do so, and it slipped and I saw a spark. I'm pretty sure it touched one of the wires going to the CAS(some of the actual wire was exposed) while also touching the block. I then go and try to start the car and nothing happens. None of the lights in the idiot cluster come on and the sunroof doesn't work either. But the dash lights, headlights and taillights, and the windows still work. So obviously something got shorted out but I don't know what. If anyone has any advice please let me know. And this is on a '86 N/A.

I figured it out. The main fuse blew so I replaced it and everything is back to normal. Mods you can delete this if you want.

You were lucky!

Next time take the ground clamp off the battery before working near wiring.

We all slip once in a while, and it can save your ***.
