need help

ok well i got the intake down an i know it aint leakin from there anymore when i got it runnin there wasnt much of anything for hissing sounds so i think the vacuum leak is fixed. but the problem is its still idling at 2000rpms. i cant get it to idle any lower does anybody know anything i might have missed that could be causin this??

1987 N/A
with 89' intake
an all emisions removed that i know of

Im going to assume that youve tried the idle adjustment screw, but are you sure you found the vacuum leak? from what I hear, carb cleaner will help you find it. If it jumps you found the leak, then you just need to patch or replace the area thats leakin. The other thing, was the car warm? I dont mean to sound condescending, but just making sure.

Wish i could help you more, but no further ideas here.

yeah i've tried the idle screw all the way down its idlin at 2000 ur it up it goes to around 2300. an yeah my intake wasnt perfectly flush like it was twisted a little but we filed it down an got it perfect there is no way its leakin from there.

an is the AFM is makin a cllickin sound when i'm tryin to start it is this normal?

Also its almost impossible to start without startin fluid when cold?
