Need Help

Hows it going people in rotary land. Well I just bought a 1987 RX-7 N/A auto(yeah, I know, it was cheap, $750 cheap). Anyway, as with the price. It came with problems...One problem is it needed a tranny, which I got that replaced. But, just my luck it seems to not want to shift into gear(unless its suppose to do that ) I also got a long chain of beep codes, I read the FAQ, but it didn't exactly help my certain situation because it beeped for a good while & stopped, then started back up again. My boy with a turbo 2 says the autos are crap, which im starting to believe. Here is one solution im thinking about. My boy with the turbo 2 knows someone with a manual tranny from an N/A motor. Im seriously thinking about getting that, but im not sure what is needed to swap that transmission into an auto car. This may have been covered before, but hey im on dial-up & im lazy : shoot me . If anybody can give me some trustworthy info, itd be hella apriciated.

hit up http://www.rotaryresurrection.com, (spelling might be off) and goto the Tech Section, there's a write-up for the auto-> 5 speed conversion.

Thanks for the link. I guess im at a crossroads now. I was going to do a turbo 2 conversion, but as with the manual tranny, i'm going to need a doner car to do the automatic to manual conversion. If I go with just doing the tranny conversion, I was thinking about supercharging the stock N/A rotary after a complete tune up &/or rebuild. The motor currently has 155,000+ miles on it, so im not sure as to what I should do. Either way, I want boost. It's just about which conversion would be less hassle & of all, cheaper. I've seen a couple of supercharged rotaries & they were pushing some pretty decent numbers. I basically want to have a dependable quick car. Any info would be greatly appriciated
