I am in the middle of a N/A to TII swap... I have the tranny in and mounted but cannot for the life of me get the motor completely back where it goes.... for one the driverside engine mount gets caught on the street column (goes to steering wheel, not on the rack). If I get it to go past that then I cant get the mount into the hole, but driverside will slide in.

Spent 2-3 hours trying JUST to get motor mounted to tranny last night till I got pissed off... What is the best way to do this???? Is it easier to drop tranny again, drop in motor and mount it, and then bolt/slide tranny into place???

easier to bolt the tranny onto the motor and put the whole thing in, rather than trying to squeese the motor in and then bolt it to the tranny
