need help

i need some advice on my 1987 RX-7 non-turbo. it recently went out or just stalled when i was driving it . when I jump started it, it came on then I took off the cables the car just idled for a while then shut off. i thought it was the alternater so I had that checked and it was still charging at 14 v. so i changed the both battery cables and put them on and it still does that. so any suggestions would be kool.

Bad grounds, bad negative connection on the battery. Get some 8 gauge wire and some o ring connectors. Connect one wire from the nut on the alt to the pos battery terminal. Add one ground from the water pump housing to the passanger side body, one from the alt bracket to the negative battery post, one from the negative battery post to frame.
