i had a rebuilt about 12 months ago. now there is this weird noise coming from under the hood. very loud when i rev. but doesnt seem to do it all the time. also it will bog out and feel like its going to die during acceleration. if the engine is screwed what can i do to at least quite the noise. the car is in good shape. i want to get rid of the car for at least 1000 even if the engine is screwed.

sounds like its coming from the front of the engine. i think. its hard to really pin down to one spot.it seems to be more of the front area. possible both sides. it bogs too. i had my injectors already done. so i know those are all set unless they messed those up. but i had those done 5 months ago
