Need clarifcation please
I check the archives and there was a no go for what i need. I have a 90' S5 N/A and just put a free flowing exhaust (header, testpipe (replaced cat), and an Apex-i N-1 exhaust. Feels a lot stronger down low but it is missing that up top pull. I had been reading and researching, and have come to the conclusion that i have no back pressure going inthe split air hose to let the ports open. If i am wrong please correct me. I like the idea for the FE6PA system but would like a simpler soultion for now, till i get the time and resoucres collected. I am leaning towards a method i found on the FC36.org site. It is Airpump activated [no electronics]. Anyone with this set up working i would appreciate some help. From the short desciption they had i kinda get it. Where i am shaddy on is after you T the main pump hose where do you put the line going off the T? Thanks for your help

The s5 cars use the air pump to operate the ports, the exhaust has no bearing on them.
They are likely stuck, though, due to carbon...you'll probably need to tear the intake down to the block to fix the problem. Take a few minutes to remove the 2 actuators off the LIM which are held on by 10mm nuts. See if the rods turn by hand...if not, there is your problem.

Doesnt matter whether or not the engine was rebuilt. Many installers would not see it as their responsibility to make sure the rods in the manifold turn. Usually it's the rods themselves that lock up in the s5 cars, for some reason. Sometimes it's so bad you can't even repair them, and must get another manifold.
