need bad tps comfirmation
so i have been troubleshooting my flickering check engine light for the last month or so and still can seem to get it to go away. the check engine flickers on and off with the engaging of the gas pedal and therefore i concluded it was a tps problem.
so far i tested the original tps and got a good narrow range by setting it to (1k idle and 4.6k wot. the only problem is i got a bad full range at (.2k idle and 5.6 wot) with this i confirmed it was bad because i am under the impression that you cannot adjust full range.
so, i got me another tps and guess what? I GOT THE SAME READINGS. from here i thought i was doing something wrong so i started looking for other things that might contribute to the bad full rang readings. i notice that the throttle cable was somewhat loose (1-2mm).
can i adjust the full range by adjusting the throttle cable? did i pick up another bad tps? is the flickering check engine light caused by the gas pedal engagement a tps problem?
i did a ecu reset after every adjustment (take neg term of and step on the brakes for 10 sec, reconnect). also the car drives fine, but the check engine light bugs me, especially knowing that it could be the full range being out of whack causing my apex seals of starvation of oil lub.
any help appreciated and thanks in advance.

when the engine light flickers is usually is indicating a problem that is severe enough to damage the catalytic converter, well at least on newer cars. What year is your car what engine gonna need some info to help. The tps on a s4 are low range tps meaning that there is a very little range that it reads the opening about 1/3 of the way you will get the same reading from that position to wide open throttle. completly normal at least on s4. Now that you reset the ecu has the problem came back. if it does check for codes. im sure the codes will help alot
