Need answer to this tire/wheel fitment ?

Hey, posted this in wheel section and got no response. I need to know for sure before I order these things. From what I read some say yes...some say no. So here's the specifics on what i want...tell me if they'll fit. Anyway.....

I just purchased a set of 17x7 wheels with a 42mm offset. I'm looking at getting 215/45/r17 for the front and 225/45/r17 for the rear (toyo proxes t1-r). This is going to be with a stock suspension on an 88 tII. So...can I run this without any kind of spacers? Also, if anybody knows a better tire for around $130 a piece let me know...or if you know the cheapest place to pick up these toyos...so far the cheapest I've seen for the 215's is $129 and $135 for th 225's.

It should be okay, but you should really try and stay away from those Motegi / OBX/ Nippon Racing / ADR rims...

Just curious. This doesn't answer the question, but I was wondering if everyone on this forum knew about this feature at Tire Rack. You can pick your car and color, then see what the various wheel and tire packages look like on it.

Ted thanks for the reply...i'd like to have put wider wheels/tires on but honestly I didn't wanna put a ton of money into wheels for performance as it's just street driven, and I don't race...just wanted a good looking set of wheels with decent performance...so just picked up a set off someone here on the forum for a good price. Thanks again tho for your knowledge.

If you guys don't know about this...

http://www.wheelchoice.com/
http://www.takumiproject.com/

They sell used JDM wheels for reasonable prices.

Not exactly cheap like some of the "warehouse" wheel stores online, but you should really save your money to buy quality stuff.
