NEED ADVICE, on a problem that happend afther i changed my clutch
ok so i changed my cluch i lasted 3 days. afther changing it i have a problem. my car floods all the time now, a car that never flooded befor..and i lost all power, i don't think its my cluch cuz when you shift you can feel it grip its just that the car doesn't have power and idk y? also what gear oil should i use for the tranny...thanx
tranny fluid: GL-4 75w90- usually redline or royal purple work well
as for the fluiding are you doing the proper shut down (IE: rev up to 3000 turn key off and pull it out, and floor it until it stops turning)?
Did you pull the whole drivetrain to change the clutch, or did you just block the engine up and remove the tranny only?
I am asking because I wonder what you could have done or touched on the engine that would cause this problem now if you never had it before.

i unbolted the tranny from the motor and removed all that was connected to the tranny, starter, speed senseor, clutch relise, drive shaft, etc and undid the mount and exshust and with the asistance of a jack i dropt the tranny down. to the best of my knowledg i really didn't miss arount to much with the motor....i have no idea why i have lost so much power??
Okay after mins of thinking in the restroom i might have an ideal of what is happening. On the driver side of your engine bay againest the firewall and right under the oil filter pediastal there is a main engine ground that needs to be bolded to the bell housing. Is a big ground but i manager to missed it the last time i did my clutch. The ground was still touching the engine but it had a pretty contact. The engine felt pretty a little rougher and the starter turn pretty slow when the ground was off. I woudl suggest checking the main engine ground before anything else. Good luck!!
