In need of an 88 T2 motor, yall

I was wondering if anyone in the forum knows of a place in the Austin/central texas area that I can get a 1988 T2 motor. Have found several out of state, but I am doing a little bit of comparison shopping and would like to get the motor without having to pay truck freight

yea, thanks for asking vaughnc.

okay to start out i replaced my stock turbo with another after the previous owner had something flied into it.

i replaced it with another stocker, and thought i put everything back on correctly, still sure i am ....

anyways i go to start it after checking everything over and it starts but makes a popping sound lke pop pop really faint like a lawnmower and shuts off. i do it again same thing.

ive asked on the teamfc3s board and they say its a vacuum leak. and it seems like it too cause the car died. the thing i dont understand as usually when i have a vacuum leak the car doesnt make any noises it just sputters and dies. this leak or whatever it was made a tin can kind of sand like pop pop pop?

im stuck, they said check the afm to see if it is plugged in i ended up unscrewing it though and accidentally pulled it out of the solder points. i tried to reconnect em, thought i did.

went to start it, and now it just cranks but doesn't turn over.

man

thanks in advance
