na plates and housings work with s4 t2 parts?
ok well im a 1st gen guy most my knowledge is on the 12a's
i tore into my 13bt "s4" last night to find that 3 of the 3 peice apex seals are broken at the pointed ends"bugger"
also on the center iron the water seal grove broke into the water jacket about 7/16ths of its wall. no fix for that right. dont think its worth it
one housing had apex seal dammage around the exshaust and a little where the intake ports are and both have chattering marks"can fell with touch" so i guess both are toast.
so i was kinda bummed that money was wasted since it only had 90,000miles.
now my question is are the center irons on the na engines the same "meaning port timming and size"
and are the na housings the same exhaust port timming?

90,000 isn't too bad. It just isn't too great. be grateful you aren't the one ripping the motor apart after 1500 miles.
Are you going to use s4 NA plates as well or s5? didn't specify, but the s4 na center side housing has an egr port so you might not want to use it..
other than that, the interchangeability should be go.

since iv already made a thread ild like to ask another question.
my tutor is telling me i should street port while iv got her opend up iv been searching and have found alot of miss answered threads or people running a safc or a fcd.
ill be running complete stock t2 s4 87 in my 84gs s3rx7
there will be no emmisions and will be running a stock ecu i will get a 3" exhaust welded on which from what iv read ill need to port the wastegate??.
so is it possible to run a streetport with stock injetors and ecu with out causing trouble? this would mean i would have to not go over certian rpm till i get a safc and fcd. since the injectors wont keep up.
please shed some light. im new to fuel injecton and have been reading up on the 2gen forum
