just find any car with an lsd preferablly a light weight NA before 88...strip it down to practically nothing then get a suspension setup that is adjustable.. i.e. full coilovers if you can afford it or coiovers and camber adjuster plates. and a good set of beater rims to lay down the rubber.

i think you can go with stiffer swaybar in the back. then get a loose one up front . so you can wipp that rear end around

one thing ive learned, though my few short years of raceing.....and drifting.....a quote to live by....

"Never, Ever put a car on a racetrack you cant afford to throw off a cliff"

you can apply that to drifting too basically what im trying to tell you is chances are your ganna screw something up. wether its the first time out or the 100th. dont let it put you in a bind when it happens.

As far as drifting goes, just go out stock, play around. hell, i have a porsche 944, non-lsd, stock everything i can get sideways and hold it longer than most of my other friends with cars "set up for drift" same goes for my VW corrado. i can get it to step out father and put it exactly where i want it. but ive 'tweaked' the suspension on that one a bit, no handbrake baby got to remeber FWD = the devil jk, i love FWD in the end its all technique, not setup though

daniel....your 944 does have LSD. its got a turbo transmission remember. and as far as holding a slide longer than any of us, HA! since when? no one around here has even seen you slide much less slide better. and since when are our cars "setup" for drift? my cressida is completley stock on original worn out suspension. chris's corrolla was completley stock too.
