Got my buddies S5 with a TII swap in my garage. Won't start at all and I'm thinking it might be the TPS (will test against FSM spec tomorrow). I was thinking about swapping on a S5 N/A TPS which I know I have in my garage somewhere... Will it fit on or no? If not I'll just pull the known working TPS off my car (S5 JDM TII swap).. I'd just rather not cause its just troubleshooting..

Heres the symptoms. Wont start but Spits out smoke that smells like gas (not oil or coolant) when its cranking over.. sometimes it will catch and run for a second or two.. Floods out (bad) when I try to start it.. Decent compression (90-100 ish).. and really strong spark.. And the injectors are not leaking at all/stuck open.. Using tested working N/A ecu.. My guess is the TPS. Anyone else got any ideas..

It can be done.. It just can't be pushed..
