Like the title says. I accidentally threw out one rear shock and now have to replace it. I found a pair of N/A rear shocks for $40 and would like to know if they would do?

They will fit.
There are a few different non-AAS shocks, but they all probably feel the same after 100k miles,

They will bolt up but they may not be as stiff. Of course that's comparing new to new. May not notice any difference especially if your TII ones have a lot of miles on them and the n/a don't. It also depends on the model of n/a. some had the same shocks some didn't. Mazdatrix used to have them all listed but I don't think the do anymore.

Pre 88, the answer is yes, N/A and TII rear shocks are identical.
