N/A fuel pump Q's
T2 swap is ready to crank but I forgot that I still need a fuel pump for the car. I know the stock S4 n/a fuel pump is not enough to support the T2 swap, but will it be enough to support the car for the initial crank? It will be running under 3k rpms, no boost with stock T2 injectors. I assume it will be fine unless I hit boost (wastegate is wired open).
Yeah I know you older, smarter people will say dont be a fool and wait for the fuel pump but excited with just being able to see if it runs. Ive got an FD pump on order but it wont arrive until sometime next week.

It'l be good enough to drive from there to Timucktu. Start the car and break the engine in. Get a turboii pump at your leisure.
Remember, on a TurboII car its fuel pump operates at apporx 9vdc any time it's not being under a load. That 9vdc is well under a na pump running at ITS (na pump) normal 12vdc .

Isnt there a way you could run the wastegate completely open so it wont ever boost no matter what ? (basically making it na)
That would definitely prevent it from boosting or using the ecu trying to take more gas from the fuel pump than it can supply.
