N/A '88...What to do?

I'm buying a '88 RX-7 pretty soon I want to soup the engine. N/A of course. What kind of mods. should I do to achieve the most bang for the buck? But yea any help here would be well appriciated. Thanks a lot.

Start out with making sure that everything on the car works right. Afterwards determine what exactly you want to use the car for i.e. street strip or autox. Then determine whether you want to start with suspension or drivetrain. If you want a faster car buy a TII, if you have patience and want a challenge buy a GTU and then try to keep up with the TII(if its possible)

Full 60K tune up first, then think about mods if you have money left.
