ahuh. Well a picture of what the hell your talking about would be great! let alone what part of the FC the article shows for the DIY.

You do mean Do it yourself right?

The big katakana on the right side says:
ri-mi-ta ka-t-to
"limiter cut"

It's probably the speed limiter mod.
You remove a screw on the instrument cluster, and this removed the 180kph (113mph) speed limited mandatory on all J-spec vehicles.

The US-spec FC's do not have this "feature".

I'd agree with RETed, I've seen that ad in the forum last year. I think it was for the 112mph limit kill

Speaking of which, a 390 gearing makes it hardly a feature, maybe if we were running 510 gearing

Ted's got it. You can even see "180km/h" in the Japanese text, and the arrow pointing to the screw.

US owners, do not attempt this mod...

Because you can't. It's not there to do.

I had to laugh when I read about you hitting the speed limiter on the dyno. Exactly the same thing happened with my 84 Cosmo. I had no idea it had a speed limiter and I don't think the dyno operator did either. I'm not sure which of us got the bigger fright. It certainly sounded spectacular from behind the car...
