mystery DIY
i was looking through one of my option magazines and found a DIY on the FC. I dont know what it does because i cant read japanese and there isnt enought info in the pics for me. if anyone has an idea of what this mod is please doo tell

The big katakana on the right side says:

"limiter cut"
It's probably the speed limiter mod.
You remove a screw on the instrument cluster, and this removed the 180kph (113mph) speed limited mandatory on all J-spec vehicles.
The US-spec FC's do not have this "feature".

I'd agree with RETed, I've seen that ad in the forum last year. I think it was for the 112mph limit kill
Speaking of which, a 390 gearing makes it hardly a feature, maybe if we were running 510 gearing

I had to laugh when I read about you hitting the speed limiter on the dyno. Exactly the same thing happened with my 84 Cosmo. I had no idea it had a speed limiter and I don't think the dyno operator did either. I'm not sure which of us got the bigger fright. It certainly sounded spectacular from behind the car...
