now say perhaps you're driving along on a rather hot day. not pushing your car very hard at all when you feel/hear something pop, make a pfffffftt noise, and then everything seams to be fine, but the car will not idle. when you reattach the tube that was found to be disconnected at what i believe is the "bypass air control valve" the car idle's again. but at a lower rmp. around 500 from an origional 750. dos this sound like a blown turbo? and if so. what's involved in replacement/repair. i have another t2 engine sitting in my garage. so if a partial swap between the two rather than a total rebuild is possible, that would be great.
please tell me anything else that could be wrong.

And a good way to check if it's blown is a COMPRESSION CHECK... If you have a tester handy, or a friend you can borrow from, do that... Just to be sure... But yea, doesn't sound blown...
